No invented gathering spots
Scavenging is confirmed, but this wiki does not yet have current-build resource spawns or respawn rules. The resource finder will not turn a general world description into a precise loot location.
Make a useful field note
Record the resource as named in your game, a recognisable nearby landmark, your build and the conditions of the find. Distinguish a container from a harvestable object; finding something once does not establish a respawn rule.
Work backwards from the project
Enter the recipe you observed into the material calculator. Compare the resulting shortfall with your own resource notes, then add the stops you intend to investigate to an expedition plan.
